1/1/2011 - The Magi, the High Priestess, Justice and the Lovers

Okay, let's talk a little bit about the near past, so that we can all get acquainted with the Tarot-Numerology practice.

On the day 1/1/2011 (Jan 11th, 2011), we have four main numbers to look for. Those numbers are 1, 2, 6 and 11. Now, to attempt to explain how we arrived at these numbers...

1 - it is the number of the day, as well as the number of the month. 2 - is the number we get when we break down the number 20 (2+0=2), and 11 - is obviously the second part in our year. Normally, in numerology, the number 2011 would be broken down the 11 would be insignificant. I choose to take a different route and recognize the 11, as with the day and the month numbers, it equals 11 11 which is universally a sign of syncronicity and is important this year especially.

To get the number 6 - we break down all the numbers of the date. 1 + 1 + 2 + 0 + 1 + 1 = 6.

These numbers are significant for their meaning as frequencies, as well as their counterparts in tarot cards. The number 1 is counterpart to the Magi or Magician card. The number 2 is counterpart to the High Priestess card. The number 6 is the counterpart to the Lovers card, and the number 11 is with the Justice card. As you will have noticed from the last post, the number 11 and the Justice card will be playing intricate roles throughout this year.

Jan 1st, 2011 is a very significant day. Not only for all the wonderful tarot-numerological information I'm going to share with you, but because it was the very first day of this year. This means that besides being a very important day, it will also give us some insight into how the actions and events that are at highest probability to come to pass this year. As the year starts, so shall the year follow...

The number 1 has been known throughout history to represent a positive masculine vibration that strives for action, independence, self-reliance and originality. The number 1 is an energy that especially reaches out to those with the will to manifest their goals. It awaits us all in the subconscious mind, and especially in times of focused concentration. When the number 1 enters our lives, it teaches us to unleash our ambition, to become pioneers and to be courageous as we reach towards new beginnings.

The Magi card is the counterpart to the number 1, and it is also a very masculine energy. It also holds a great deal of information about manifestation. The Magi in the card has become adept at gathering tools from all the elements, as you can see on the card.
He's got his cup for water, his wand for air, his pentacle for earth, his sword for fire and his consciousness for spirit. All of these things give him the ingredients to complete his spells (manifestations). Also in his card, is the oroborus and the infinity symbol. These symbols come together to display the inter-connectedness of everything in our lives. The Magi's task is to remind us that we are all born with the tools and connections to manifest our deepest desires. He urges you to be courageous and to remember that you are the power.

The number 2 is a number of balance and duality, and it fits perfectly with it's counterpart; the High Priestess. The High Priestess's consort is the Magi, and together they bring together the powerful energies in the world, to help aide us in our manifestations. She wears a shroud of mystery and relaxes in front of a pomegranet curtain. The High Priestess calls to our subconscious, just as the Magi does, except that she is not so willing to give us the answers. She would rather give us clues, and teach us to care for ourselves. Which turns out better in the end, even if it might start out a bit frustrating.

The number 6 holds a very special vibration, as most numbers do. It represents the vibrations of harmony, beauty, empathism, order, duty, service, sympathy and marriage. The six coincides with the Lovers card, which is a very particular card in tarot. Most people confuse it as actually being about "love", when it is actually about paths and choices. It does concern some love, as we see a couple in the card, but often it is not about romantic love. One person in the card has two choices. They can stay with what they know well, even if it might not be the best choice, or they can go off on a whole new tangent, and take the risk that it might be the best choice they've ever made. It might also be the worst choice they've ever made, so you see the risk involved. Whether your choice involves romantic love, business partnerships, or simply a fight with your inner duality, the Lover's card urges you to choose a path that your heart wants, regardless of how it might turn out.

Last, but not least, we see the involvement of the Justice card and the number 11. The Justice card is about bringing balance back into the world, and coupled with the number 11, it brings forth a balance of illumination and enlightenment.

So let's put all these ingredients together to understand the kinds of meanings and events that can be divined from these number vibrations and their tarot counterparts.

Number 1 & the Magi

Starting out the year, we will begin to see thoughts take action, and energy take form. For those of you whom spent most of last year think about the negative aspects of your lives, you will most likely see these horrible happenings taking place in front of your eyes. For those that have found a way to want what they have, and to focus on the positive in their lives, you should've already seen some pretty amazing things manifest in your life. Just remember, to be 'amazing', something does not have to be big. Maybe you were finally able to pay your bills on time, or you won several negotiations, or found some good work.

Because the Magi card is a masculine one, as is the number 1, this shows that there is going to be a lot of masculine energy bouncing around. You might trace back and deal with some father-related issues, or meet a person that you feel is father-like. This card can also signal a need for you to give some focus to your masculine side, whether you are man or woman.

Because business success takes an awful lotta manifesting, the Magi tells us that we should see a fairly good month/year of business. The Magi is somewhat biased though, as he prefers business that leans towards the eco-friendly and self-sustaining types of business. He's not stingy about providing opportunities for opportunist who conduct their business graciously and compassionately. So this is a good sign for those involved in green industries, or industries that are going green.

Number 2 & the High Priestess

To balance out the Magi, we have his consort the High Priestess. She is a lady of grace and mystery, and she is all about magick and manifesting. Having the combination of the Magi and the High Priestess shows us that there is a good cosmic balance beaming down on us. The dualism of both Masculine and Feminine energies. Because of these good energies, it is very likely that we shall see a good period of relationships. Romantic, business and otherwise. Now... This doesn't necessarily mean that a "good period" means your relationship will be going well, but it means that some of the things happening in your day to day relationships, will start to balance themselves out. If a relationship you are currently, romantic-business or otherwise, are not in alignment with your highest good, you will see them start to shift away in this period. As this is what is needed. Though if you've simply been having a rough patch in your relationships, because of money or unpractical thinking, then you will see things come to right themselves and bring more happiness into your relationships. The mystery lies in whether or not you have yet earned the wisdom to recognize which sort of balance your life needs at this time. The High Priestess will not just simply tell you, though she will give you hints and clues if you are receptive to them.

The High Priestess gives us some warnings from the new year. She cautions us to be careful with our health, and to not pay attention to disinformation and gossip. We are at a delicate time, and it is important this year for everyone to understand the proper way to care for their bodies, minds and spirits. She also warns us to be aware of things that are hidden behind the curtain. At times it is best to leave the curtain closed, and other times we should pull the curtain back and expose the secrets to the light. This High Priestess and the Magi both have to do with messages, which signals to me that the media would release a rather large secret that involves a woman and a man in high places.

Number 6 & the Lovers

The paths are in front of us, and so are some hard choices. As the Magi and the High Priestess begin to bring balance back into our relationships, they will set many hard choices in front of us. Some will be easier then others, but all of them will take considerable forethought. The Lovers card offers us some advice, which is to choose with our hearts in this situation. That doesn't mean that you should abandon your logic all together. It simply means that if a decision is unclear, often our hearts know what is best. It's usually just our minds that get in the way.

Number 11 & Justice

A woman will take center stage in our lives, and help to bring balance and justice, just as the High Priestess and Magi are set to do. The beginning of the year is highlighting balance more than anything. Our world is sorely out of balance, as is most of our lives. Justice strives to illuminate the areas in your life where you need balance most, and then to help you overcome any areas of your life that have not yet come to justice.

The beginning of January is going to be a powerful one. We will receive any messages, and the media will be all in a flurry about something that effects a lot of people. Most of us will be spending plenty of time indoors, avoiding cold winter weather. Because of the lack of outdoor time, it's important that we all take time to work on our solar plexus chakras. As not enough sunshine can result in ego issues that won't help anyone.

2011 - Judgement, Justice and the Emperor...

Before I rush into the significant days through the year of 2011, I thought to take a step backwards and explain the significance of the year 2011 itself. For you see, in both numerology and tarot, the year 2011 is very special.

The main numbers of the year and their tarot counterparts are:

20     -    Judgement

11     -    Justice

4       -   The Emperor

Can you see the beginnings of the significance? After all the things that have come up in the last decade, this year is about Judgement, Justice and the Emperor. It's effects will be large and small, and we'll try to go over as much as possible in this blog space.

20 - This number is broken down into the number 2. This places it as a very positive number and represents the vibrations of duality, division, polarity, choice, harmony, diplomacy, patience, psychicism, intuition, empathism, adaptability, collecting, balancing of opposites and subconscious memory. Showing that this year will be one of balancing. We will see some large Dualities attempting to be more diplomatic, such as the Republicans and Democrats for example. Already in this year they are attempting to 'balance' themselves through sitting in mixed seats during the state of the union address for 2011. Will it be good or disastrous in the end? Only time will tell on that one.

The Judgement card is a card of caution in tarot. It speaks out that we should never be too quick to pass judgement on the world around us, no matter how sure we are at first. The Judgement card also represents forethought, second chances, extra effort, joy, accomplishments, mental clarity, career moves, attention to detail, personal responsibility, messages, choices, contracts, forgiving, letting go of negative issues and exploring new spiritual paths.

With the mixture of the number 20 and the Judgement card, we gain some perspective into this year. Together they show that this year will be filled with duality and division. Politically, people will become aware of the polarity between the people and the governments. Any plans to 'globalize' will begin to divide, while the world of humans considers what it really wants in reality. Choices will be made that will bring harmony and disharmony. Some judgements might be made a bit to quickly, without thinking things through, and these judgmental errors will lead to BIG changes across the political landscape.

The Judgement card is filled with lots of water, which shows that emotions will be somewhat turbulent this year, especially as people learn to adjust their thinking. Those to quick to judge things around them, will find themselves in rockier waters then those who are more balanced in their perspective of the world. The card also holds mountains and trumpets in it, heralding triumphs throughout this year. Many challenges that some were thought to have been doomed, will now be righted, balanced or overcome.

More importantly, every choice that is made, good or bad, will effect our world. Choices that we make as individuals, as well as cultures and societies. For better or worse, the choices we all make this year, will determine what sort of cosmic changes we will see in coming decades. So make sure to take your time in thinking things through before you pass judgement.

The number 11 is a very special number. In most practices of numerology, it is considered a "Master Number", and it gives out a very significant vibration to those that are receptive to it. Usually, if you receive this number into your life often, it suggests that you are a teacher of positive paths. If you only receive this number on occasion, then it can indicate times when you are being communicated with by a guide, or that you should seek out a guide. The number 11, in general, shows the link between the cosmos and our beings. Some even consider it the number of light workers and psychics because the number 11 has always been associated with radiating light.

The number 11 tells us to be mindful of our blocks, and to get our energies flowing and our minds open. It also reminds us to discipline ourselves, and to develop our confidence in what we know is truly right for us. It warns us not to let fear get the better of us, and suggests that we should question all things around us, and be mindful not to leap before we look.

Because the number 11 is so involved in this year, it suggests that art, healing, self-destruction,  inventions, innovations, spiritual leadership, dualities, intuition and mystic mysteries will be on the fore front of our lives. Already we can see this happening with the hundreds of thousands of animal deaths that have continued to turn up since the new year started. Is it a mystic mystery that only shaman's and oracles can bring real meaning from? Or is it a sign of self-destruction from the insensitive side of humanity? Who knows at this point? Passing judgement on either side will cause imbalance. Perhaps it is a mixture of both? Either way, these events also highlight the duality already playing a big part in this year.

The number 11 is aligned with the Justice card. A card that symbolizes balance, resolutions, karma, settlements, law troubles, clarity, fairness, righting of wrongs, cause and effect, connections and harmony. The Justice card is the perfect counterpart for the number 11, as seen on the card is a women sitting between two pillars, which look like a number 11. She sits between the pillars, holding the scales in one hand and a sword in the other. She is psychic, passionate and compassionate, and she will always make the fairest and most balanced decision, even if it's not necessarily the one we were hoping for. She makes her decisions because they are right, not because they are popular decisions.

We will also see an improvement in health, as both individuals and groups begin to realize that we must do something to improve our own health, as well as the health of Gaia. More people will become aware of the richness of organic food, and the benefits of self-sustainability. From there their health will begin to improve, as will their minds and spirits, bringing for more awakenings in this year. All of this plays a part into aligning us for coming years, and becoming more sensible about how we treat our bodies and the rest of the world, will simply be the beginning.

Last, but definitely not the least important, is the number 4. It is a number of practical, orderly, logical, loyal, hard-working, frugal, upward-building, earthly, responsible, even tempered, creative, materialistic, patient and eco-minded vibrations. It fits in well with our 20 and 11 numbers. It amplifies the vibrations of balance and adds a touch of logic and sense to it all. It won't just be a passing fad to love the earth and be sensible about the way we experience the world.

The number 4 is aligned with the Emperor card. This is a very specific card in the major arcana. It signals that a powerful man will play a large part in this coming year. He will either have dark brown hair, or graying to fully gray hair. He will be a strict but wise man, who has had a lot of experience in the world. He is war hardened, but balanced and fair. He considers the lives of his people before he considers himself, though he is definitely not willing to give up all of his luxuries just for his constituents. He can seem unruly or harsh at times, but in most cases he proves that his actions were necessary.

The Emperor card also represents a need for less domination and emotional distractions. He will teach us to to maintain our focus and determination when hard choices are in front of us. As well as bringing forth lessons in structure and stability, which are needed now. The Emperor is often associated with the sign of Ares, which signals that this year will be filled with business and global-scale matters. Things that are behind the scenes will start to trickle out a bit faster, and those in leadership positions will not only show their true colors, but will likely be sent to Justice to be balanced out.

All in all, this year is going to be one that we will notice. Changes within our bodies, minds and spirits will be apparent, as will changes on a larger scale. The focus will be on balance and alignment, in logical and self-sustaining sense.

Take some time to meditate on the choices you've made in your past, and then meditate on the choices you could yet make in your future. It will make or break your next decade or so....

2011: A Year of Alignments

Okay, so as my second official post. I would like to touch on a subject that I will be covering over the next few weeks, that should give you plenty to think about.

Being that this year is 2011, we are looking at many interesting and enlightening days. I consider this to be a year of alignments, which will bring us many positive and negative changes. My hope is that through these changes, our world will come back to balance by 2012, and this big horrible "ending" that everyone dreads, will bring a beautiful new "beginning".

To start out, I am going to be covering the day 1/1/11, which is January 1st, 2011. It is an important day because it holds the master numbers 11 11, as well as the master number 22. I will start with significant dates in January, and then we will move on to up coming dates that you can look out for.

Through these readings, you will not only get an idea for what days are significant this month, but this information will also give you an idea for what the cosmic theme is for each month, as these significant days have an affect on all the days around them.

Tarot-Numerology

Greetings all!

Thank you everyone for reading my blog! This is my first post, and I thought to take some time to use this post to explain a little bit about the Tarot-Numerology blogs I'm going to be posting for you. I'll go more in to depth about the whole subject as I get into my blogging rhythm, so for now, we'll just go over the short version.

Tarot Card Reading - Is the art of interpreting probabilities through intuition and knowledge of symbology. Many also call it divination, or psychic fortune telling. It does help to have keen perception and psychic sense, though they are not necessary for tarot readings. Anyone who is willing to take the time to learn about tarot, practice with their own deck and to be willing to try, can learn to read Tarot.

Numerology - A belief and practice that numbers are frequencies in the world and have significant meaning in many (if not all) situations. These number frequencies are a sort of cosmic language, that can give us insights into ourselves and the world around us.

Tarot-Numerology - A form of divination or prediction of probabilities that can help us to better understand our lives and the world around us. A mixture of communication methods used to receive messages from the cosmos, to help us choose our paths wisely.

These are my definitions of these tools, and they might not match up to what other tarot or numerology practitioners would define them as. These practices will help guide me towards bring you information about things that have passed or will come to pass.

So let's hope for good news coming soon!  =)
